Flick Games Ltd. understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used and shared online. We respect and value the privacy of all users of our games, apps, and websites, including Art of Solitaire (on iOS, Android, and Steam, and its website at https://artof.cards), Goalman (at https://goalman.club), our Reddit mini-games, and https://flick.games (“Our Services”) and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a manner that is consistent with Our obligations and your rights under the law.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. Your acceptance of Our Privacy Policy is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Services. If you do not accept and agree with this Privacy Policy, you must stop using Our Services immediately.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In this Policy, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

“Account” means an account required to access and/or use certain areas and features of Our Services;

“Cookie” means a small text file placed on your computer or device by Our Services when you visit certain parts of Our Services and/or when you use certain features of Our Services. Details of the Cookies used by Our Services are set out in section 13, below;

“Cookie Law” means the relevant parts of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003;

“UK GDPR” means the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulation as it forms part of the law of the United Kingdom; “Data Protection Act 2018”; “Cookie Law” means the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) (PECR).

“personal data” means any and all data that relates to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified from that data. In this case, it means personal data that you give to Us via Our Services. This definition shall, where applicable, incorporate the definitions provided in the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR; and

“We/Us/Our” means Flick Games Ltd, a limited company registered in England under company number 12012885, whose registered address is 45 Queen Street, Deal, United Kingdom, CT14 6EY.

3. What Does This Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Services. Our Services may contain links to other websites. Please note that We have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

Our Reddit mini-games run on Reddit’s Devvit platform. When you play them, your use of Reddit is also governed by Reddit’s own privacy policy and user agreement, which we do not control. Reddit, not Flick Games, is responsible for the personal data it collects through your Reddit account.

4. Your Rights

4.1As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR, which this Policy and Our use of personal data have been designed to uphold:

4.1.1The right to be informed about Our collection and use of personal data;

4.1.2The right of access to the personal data We hold about you (see section 12);

4.1.3The right to rectification if any personal data We hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete (please contact Us using the details in section 14);

4.1.4The right to be forgotten, i.e. the right to ask Us to delete any personal data We hold about you (We only hold your personal data for a limited time, as explained in section 6 but if you would like Us to delete it sooner, please contact Us using the details in section 14);

4.1.5The right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of your personal data;

4.1.6The right to data portability (obtaining a copy of your personal data to re-use with another service or organisation);

4.1.7The right to object to Us using your personal data for particular purposes; and

4.1.8Rights with respect to automated decision making and profiling.

4.2If you have any cause for complaint about Our use of your personal data, please contact Us using the details provided in section 14 and We will do Our best to solve the problem for you. If We are unable to help, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

5. What Data Do We Collect?

Depending upon your use of Our Services, We may collect some or all of the following personal and non-personal data (please also see section 13 on Our use of Cookies and similar technologies):

5.7contact information such as email addresses and telephone numbers;

6. How Do We Use Your Data?

6.1All personal data is processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with Our obligations and safeguard your rights under GDPR at all times. For more details on security see section 7, below.

6.2Our use of your personal data will always have a lawful basis, either because it is necessary for Our performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to Our use of your personal data (e.g. by subscribing to emails), or because it is in Our legitimate interests. Specifically, We may use your data for the following purposes:

6.2.1Providing and managing your Account;

6.2.2Providing and managing your access to Our Services;

6.2.3Personalising and tailoring your experience on Our Services;

6.2.4Supplying Our products and/or services to you (please note that We require your personal data in order to enter into a contract with you);

6.2.5Personalising and tailoring Our products and/or services for you;

6.2.6Replying to emails from you;

6.2.7Supplying you with emails that you have opted into (you may unsubscribe or opt-out at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email);

6.2.8Market research;

6.2.9Analysing your use of Our Services and gathering feedback to enable Us to continually improve Our Services and your user experience.

6.3With your permission and/or where permitted by law, We may also use your data for marketing purposes which may include contacting you by email, text message, other message services or post with information, news and offers on Our products and services. We will not, however, send you any unsolicited marketing or spam and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that We fully protect your rights and comply with Our obligations under GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

6.4Third parties whose content appears on Our Services may use third party Cookies, as detailed below in section 13. Please refer to section 13 for more information on controlling Cookies. Please note that We do not control the activities of such third parties, nor the data they collect and use and advise you to check the privacy policies of any such third parties.

6.5You have the right to withdraw your consent to Us using your personal data at any time, and to request that We delete it.

6.6We do not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected.

7. How and Where Do We Store Your Data?

7.1We only keep your personal data for as long as We need to in order to use it as described above in section 6, and/or for as long as We have your permission to keep it.

7.1AAnalytics data specifically: event-level records are kept for the retention window applied by the analytics provider holding them. Each provider sets its own window, and those windows differ between Our game and Our websites. They are not periods We set for each surface. Aggregated statistics derived from those records are kept indefinitely, because they identify nobody and are not personal data; they let Us track long-term trends. See also section 8.2.

7.2Some or all of your data may be stored outside of the European Economic Area (“the EEA”) (The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein). You are deemed to accept and agree to this by using Our Services and submitting information to Us. If We do store data outside the EEA, We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the UK and under GDPR including:

7.4.1Using only reputable best in class services such as GCP or AWS.

8. Do We Share Your Data?

8.1We may sometimes contract with third parties to supply products and services to you on Our behalf. These may include payment processing, delivery of goods, search engine facilities, advertising, and marketing. In some cases, the third parties may require access to some or all of your data. Where any of your data is required for such a purpose, We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data will be handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, Our obligations, and the obligations of the third party under the law. Subject to your settings, we provide certain Information to advertisers who will use them to serve you with ads in our Games, and we measure who sees and clicks on their ads. We also share advertising identifiers, along with the interests or other characteristics of a device or the person using it, to help partners decide whether to serve an ad to that device or to enable them to conduct marketing, brand analysis, personalise advertising, or similar activities. For our mobile games (Art of Solitaire on iOS and Android only), advertising is delivered through AppLovin MAX, our ad mediation platform, which serves ads from multiple ad networks. Our current ad partners are: AppLovin, Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, DT Exchange, Ad4Game, ReklamUp, InMobi, ironSource, Liftoff/Vungle, Meta, Mintegral, Unity, and Potensus. This list may change over time as networks are added or removed. For Goalman (web), advertising is delivered through Google AdSense (H5). Ads served in Goalman are non-personalised: they are not based on a profile of your past behaviour. We also show “house ads” in Goalman that promote our own games (currently Art of Solitaire), and from time to time these promotions may feature selected third parties. In Goalman, we also work with MomentScience (AdsPostX, Inc., based in the United States) to present optional offers and promotions at certain in-game moments. If you view or interact with an offer, your browser and device information, IP address, and interaction data are shared with MomentScience to deliver and measure it. If you choose to redeem an offer, any email address or phone number you enter is provided directly to MomentScience and processed under its own privacy policy, available at https://momentscience.com/privacy-policy. For more information on how to limit or opt-out from personalized advertisement, please see Section 13 (Our Use of Cookies) below.

8.2We may compile statistics about the use of Our Services including data on traffic, usage patterns, user numbers, sales, and other information. All such data will be anonymised and will not include any personally identifying data, or any anonymised data that can be combined with other data and used to identify you. We may from time to time share such data with third parties such as prospective investors, affiliates, partners, and advertisers. Data will only be shared and used within the bounds of the law.

8.3We may sometimes use third party data processors that are located outside of the European Economic Area (“the EEA”) (The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein). Where We transfer any personal data outside the EEA, We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the UK and under the GDPR including:

8.3.1Analytics, infrastructure, and related service providers, including: Mixpanel (EU region) for in-game and Reddit-game analytics; Google Analytics for the Art of Solitaire game; Cloudflare Web Analytics for the flick.games, artof.cards, and goalman.club sites; Supabase for game backend and authentication services; Bugsnag for crash and error reporting; Smartlook, a tool used to record user experience within Art of Solitaire; and Meta (Facebook), to which we send certain analytics events. Crash and diagnostic data may also be sent to Apple and Google by default as part of the iOS and Android platforms. We may also use attribution providers (such as Singular) to understand how users find our games.

8.3.2Ad networks for the purposes of serving ads.

8.3.3Offer and promotion providers, currently MomentScience (AdsPostX, Inc.), which delivers optional offers in Goalman as described in section 8.1.

8.4In certain circumstances, We may be legally required to share certain data held by Us, which may include your personal data, for example, where We are involved in legal proceedings, where We are complying with legal requirements, a court order, or a governmental authority.

8.5From time to time we may share fully anonymised analytics data from Art of Solitaire (data from which you cannot be identified, directly or indirectly) with Worldmodeldata Limited for the purpose of training their artificial-intelligence models. We only share data in anonymised form for this purpose. We do not share any data that identifies you, and we never share Google sign-in data (see section 8A) for this or any artificial-intelligence training purpose.

8A. Google Sign-In (Goalman)

When you choose to sign in to Goalman using your Google account, Google provides us with your email address, your name, and your profile picture (if you have one). We use this information solely to create and authenticate your Goalman account. It is stored in our authentication system (Supabase) for that purpose only.

We handle Google user data in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not:

use your Google sign-in data to serve or personalise advertising;
share, transfer, or sell your Google sign-in data to any third party, including ad networks, analytics providers, or data and artificial-intelligence partners;
use your Google sign-in data to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models;
use your Google sign-in data for any purpose other than providing and improving the Goalman sign-in and account features you have requested.

You can delete your Goalman account and the associated data at any time using the “Delete Account / Data” option on the Goalman settings page.

8B. Goalman Browser Notifications

Goalman may ask your permission to send browser notifications (for example, to let you know when it is your turn or when a game event occurs). These are delivered through your web browser’s standard notification feature and only after you grant permission. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your browser settings. We do not use a third-party push-notification provider for these notifications.

8C. Username Moderation (Goalman)

When you choose a username in Goalman, we check it using an automated moderation process, including a large language model provided by Google (Gemini), to help ensure usernames are appropriate. If you sign in with Google, we may offer your Google account name as an editable suggestion for your username, but we do not send your Google account information to the moderation provider; only the username you choose is processed for this purpose. Goalman does not include player-to-player messaging.

9. What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

9.1We may, from time to time, expand or reduce Our business and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Our business. Any personal data that you have provided will, where it is relevant to any part of Our business that is being transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use that data only for the same purposes for which it was originally collected by Us.

9.2In the event that any of your data is to be transferred in such a manner, you will not be contacted in advance and informed of the changes.

10. How Can You Control Your Data?

10.1When you submit personal data via Our Services, you may be given options to restrict Our use of your data. In particular, We aim to give you strong controls on Our use of your data for direct marketing purposes (including the ability to opt-out of receiving emails from Us which you may do by unsubscribing using the links provided in Our emails and at the point of providing your details and by managing your Account).

10.2You may also wish to sign up to one or more of the preference services operating in the UK: The Telephone Preference Service (“the TPS”), the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (“the CTPS”), and the Mailing Preference Service (“the MPS”). These may help to prevent you receiving unsolicited marketing. Please note, however, that these services will not prevent you from receiving marketing communications that you have consented to receiving.

10.3We use profiling to tailor ads; this uses your app activity and device identifiers. You can switch off personalised ads in in-app settings or via your device. (This applies to Art of Solitaire on mobile. Ads in Goalman are non-personalised, as described in section 8.1.)

11. Your Right to Withhold Information

11.1You may access certain areas of Our Services without providing any data at all. However, to use all features and functions available on Our Services you may be required to submit or allow for the collection of certain data.

11.2You may restrict Our use of Cookies. For more information, see section 13.

12. How Can You Access Your Data?

You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by Us (where such data is held). Under the GDPR, no fee is payable and We will provide any and all information in response to your request free of charge. Please contact Us for more details at privacy@flick.games, or using the contact details below in section 14.

13. Our Use of Cookies

13.1Our Services span mobile and desktop apps, a game on Reddit, and three separate websites, and they do not all use Cookies. Some place none at all. This section therefore describes each surface separately rather than making a single claim about all of them. Where We refer to Cookies below, We include similar technologies that store data on your device, such as local storage.

13.2The Flick Games studio site (https://flick.games) places no Cookies and stores nothing on your device. You will not be asked for consent there, because there is nothing stored on your device to consent to.

13.3The Art of Solitaire website (https://artof.cards) places no Cookies and stores nothing on your device: no Cookie, no local storage, and no identifier that persists after you leave the page.

13.4Goalman (https://goalman.club) uses Cookies and local storage in two distinct ways.

13.4.1Strictly necessary. If you sign in, an authentication session is kept so that you stay signed in, as described in section 8A. We also store the record of your own consent choice, so that We do not ask you again on every visit. Cookie Law treats these as “strictly necessary” because without them the features you have asked for cannot work, so your consent is not sought for them.

13.4.2Everything else, which is not strictly necessary. Advertising and analytics on Goalman are not strictly necessary, and are not loaded until We have a lawful basis to load them. This covers the Google H5 and AdSense advertising script (see sections 8.1 and 10.3), Mixpanel (EU region) analytics, the Meta pixel, and the third-party offers described in section 8.1. If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, none of these load until you choose to accept them: nothing fires before you have made a choice. Elsewhere they may load by default and you may opt out at any time. We treat the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out everywhere.

13.5The Art of Solitaire game on iOS, Android, and Steam, and Our Reddit mini-games, are not web pages in the ordinary sense and do not use Cookies. They do send analytics events to Mixpanel (EU region) and Google Analytics, and crash and error reports to Bugsnag. Art of Solitaire also uses Smartlook, a tool used to record user experience of the game. You can opt out of Smartlook here: https://www.smartlook.com/opt-out/.

13.6What analytics means here. Analytics refers to tools that count and summarise how Our Services are used, so that We can understand and improve them. Where analytics data can be linked to a signed-in account it is not anonymous, and section 5 describes what We collect and section 6 what We use it for. Where it cannot be linked to an account, it identifies nobody. How long analytics data is kept is described in section 7.1A.

13.7Changing your mind. Where your consent was sought, you can change or withdraw it at any time using the same banner or privacy link on the relevant site, and your choice will be remembered. Withdrawing consent stops further collection; it does not undo collection that has already taken place.

13.8In addition to the controls that We provide, you can choose to enable or disable Cookies in your internet browser. Most internet browsers also enable you to choose whether you wish to disable all cookies or only third party Cookies. By default, most internet browsers accept Cookies but this can be changed. For further details, please consult the help menu in your internet browser or the documentation that came with your device.

13.9You can choose to delete Cookies on your computer or device at any time, however you may lose any information that enables you to access Our Services more quickly and efficiently including, but not limited to, login and personalisation settings.

13.10It is recommended that you keep your internet browser and operating system up-to-date and that you consult the help and guidance provided by the developer of your internet browser and manufacturer of your computer or device if you are unsure about adjusting your privacy settings.

15. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, if the law changes). Any changes will be immediately posted on Our Services and you will be deemed to have accepted the terms of the Privacy Policy on your first use of Our Services following the alterations. We recommend that you check this page regularly to keep up-to-date.

16. Children

Our Services are not directed at children. However, we recognise that some of our games may appeal to children. We do not knowingly collect more personal data from children than is necessary to provide the game, and Goalman does not include player-to-player messaging. Ads shown in Goalman are non-personalised. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data and you would like it removed, please contact us at privacy@flick.games.
